Well there really isnt much else i can say that hasnt been said already. I met paul once and from a few short minutes of conversation i could tell he really was an awesome guy. I dont think i have met a parent yet that supported their child who wanted to persue a career in wrestling. As for Mike i have only known you for a short while and can easily call him a friend. If anyone can get through this I no you can and i wish the best for you and your family

Last night was real hard. Lately I've been questioning faith and stuff due to circumstances at home with my friends, and this really only added to it. Mike is the nicest kid, and just really fun to hang out with, and I like Wrenegade have only met him once. And with all the stories on here about his dad, I really hoped to meet him one day. But all I can do is keep praying, and keep strong. I know Mike will pull through it, and I hope to see him at JWA III back better than ever.

My prayers are with you. <3

Just so everyone knows what's going on...

As of last night, Mike was still on a ventilator and running a temperature, but they say that's normal due to the surgery, but they hope to take the ventilator out either today or tomorrow. Other than that he's still in stable condition in ICU, and I don't think anyone will be able to see him until they get things totally under control. His blood pressure has been a big issue.

Keep him in your thoughts, please.

This is just horrible news, no one should lose their father at this age to some wreckless piece of shit, I heard about this and I thought his dad had passed away due to heart attack, but then I was told what happened, and that just made me really sad, and I hae never met either of them, it's horrible news and it sucks big time.

I realy think we should all get together and send cards, donations, etc to mike and his family, he needs us all as one, to show him we care, even if we majoirty of us have nebver met the kid, when you are down we must pull as one to help him.

I am very thankful to have met him. Dmac, Mike, Paul, my brother and i all went to white castle after JWA II. Although they were short, the times spent with the 3 were great, Mike is an awesome kid, and i only hope the best for him.

My God. My heart just sank reading this. I only met Mike and his dad once, but they both left a lasting impact on me. Like Rage said, I remember Paul's reaction to Mike getting busted open in his last man standing match at JWA II. He looked at him, saw it wasn't too bad, and said something along the lines of "He'll be alright," or "He's had worse." Never freaked out, was just chill about the whole thing. The way he accepted and embraced his son's hobby was amazing. I wish my parents embraced my love for yarding as much as Paul did. There's a reason one of the best chant's at JWA II was "Mike Damage's Dad!" It was because the man was that awesome.

R.I.P. Paul Kunkle. And I wish Mike the speediest and healthiest of recoveries. Hope to still see you at JWA III man.

I hung with him twice but I immediately felt a connection with the man I called "Mike Damages Dad". He respected me right off the bat and that was all it took for me to respect this man, who supported his sons love and obsession with this crazy thing we call Wrestling. I am glad I got to meet him and talk to him and I am glad that I entertained him and could possibly be considered a friend of his and this news has left me in a really confused, sad, hopeless mood.. Mike Damage, when you read this. Please dont hesitate to call me if you ever need someone ya want to talk to because I am here for you dude. Nothing can ever prepare a son for the loss of his father or vice versa and just know that you and your family will forever and always be in my prayers. Stay strong, and know that Paul is probably watching Owen and Eddie Guerrero tear shit up right now...

R.I.P. Great Man, Great Father, Great Friend, Great Person... He will be missed.

Just want to personally thank everyone for the kind words. I still can't believe all of this has happened, but I'll make sure to tell mike that everyone is here for him, and that we're all one big family. I agree with tony, and Im going to try and get an address or something so that we can send cards, and things of that nature.

Some more good news and bad. The good news is that Mike was able to open his eyes today and respond a little bit, which is awesome. Though, they tried to take him off the machine but they had to put him back on it. He's still running a fever and his condition hasn't really changed much since yesterday.

Mike, I'm so sorry for your loss. Paul Kunkle was an awesome guy and an
awesome father. I met him for the second time this past December 09 at the
EWA show that was canceled due to bad weather. He had just made the trip to Jersey and had
to turn around because of the snow. I remember laughing and telling him "you
must really love your son". He told me that he would do whatever it was to make Mike happy. I only talked with him for a few minutes but I could tell he loved Mike and would do anything for his son. We wish you a speedy recovery Mike. We know you're tough kid and you can get through this.

Long live Mike Damage's Dad. You will be missed.

Not yet, dude. DMac will post it when he gets it.

They increased Mike's sedation. They're still having problems with his blood pressure and stuff, and tomorrow he's going back into surgery so they can work on his crushed femur.
