This is a great post to share. I read this a little while back and loved it. My fed had some of the people in it complaining when matches we're too slow and didn't have enough action. I wasn't born with any athletic ability so when I started this whole wrestling thing I realized I'd never be able to do some of the crazy things you see a lot today. So I studied ways I could get around my limited athletic ability (along with plenty of practice in the ring and exercise) and I learned the basics and the old school ways of doing things.

We drew pretty good crowds for a BYW show (25-50 people not counting wrestlers) since we live in a small town where kids pretty much have nothing to do. Most of the fans were not wrestling fans when they started coming (lots of teenage girls and middle/high school kids) and although some of them became wrestling fans a good deal also only watched us as far as wrestling went. Long story short I cut good promos, learned match psychology/structure, and made sure i put my entire focous on getting the baby face over. Early on I faced a lot of pressure and criticism from some of my fellow wrestlers to speed up my matches and take more crazy bumps/high spots but I stuck to my guns and in the later years of our fed many of them couldn't wait to work with me because the knew I'd do all I could to get them over with the fans and I'm proud to say everyone I worked with became a bigger babyface. So while I still have a long road to go doing the things listed here helped me out tremendously. Make sure you practice and do the things listed here until they are second nature and BYW as a whole will benefit from it. I don't really have the size or insane athletic ability to become a pro so I'm really happy to see BYW getting at this kinda knowledge so people like me have more place to go and wrestle.
