Hi, this is the first time I have posted here, infact it's the first time I have posted in any internet forum... This question I suppose is more aimed towards people from the UK but I'd apreciate feedback from anyone. Will there ever be a UK backyard wrestling scene again? Does anyone care about a backyard wrestling scene in the UK? And how can we produce actual good backyard wrestling, because at the moment it is completely horrible and emberassing. Only a few years ago we had feds like ORW and CWE which drew decent crowds and looked like a legit show, now all the yarders are a bit poo. Sorry if this has already been discussed, like I said I'm new here.

Doesn't NAW still run?

Not sure about NAW .. Ive heard there name getting thrown about but not seen much, where would I be able to access there videos? I've been running arguebly the biggest fed in London/South England for the past few years, but everything died out a couple of years ago when we learned how pros look down on it, (and most attractive females ). Although we got the piss taken out of us for bumping on mattresses (never been willing to potentially knock years off my career by bumping on the floor infront of no crowd and a digicam especially with past back problems) I have never seen a fed from come from the UK which is even close to our character work and promos.

im not going to judge you guys cuz i have never seen you wrestle or heard of you but NAW is really really solid. If i can find some media i'll post it for you.

Yeah we hit out peak almost 4 years ago ago, so now so I suppose no one is really gonna know who we are anymore, UBW are the most solid fed I've seen from the UK atm but I wouldnt exactly mark for anything they do unlike alot of american federations I have seen and older british feds. Shame most people on here probably havent witnessed the greatness of BZW and IBW:UK. Heres my fed if your interested. Most of our videos have been removed and tamperred with, but theres still a few events there.

Hello there CWE and ORW died because alot of there main talent went to the pros, Some of these guys are doing very well for themselves now in Pro Wrestling. Those feds were a completely different kettle of fish from NAW as they were based around gimmicks, hardcore and drawing crowds etc. Where as NAW has really high standards of yarders, yet they just wrestle in front of each other on crash mats.

A couple of guys who were left over from CWE are now in AGW and trying to bring through a new batch of talent. Like NAW, AGW is crowdless, however there are still crazy gimmicks and a professional ring involved.

THE UKBYW scene is far from dead, Id say one of the most active in the world off top of my head I can think of AGW, NAW, WCWE, RCWA and CCW all decent in there own ways.

Nice vid didnt know you guys existed, and your pretty near us. Liked the swearing and mild racism, how much did the ring cost and how do you store it? (probably been asked that question way too many times now) and KTW sufferred from the same problem ... all our guys are hitting the pros or doing other stuff which is cool since we never planned on ever just being backyarders so I guess its for the best to move on.

Just remember the Global Backyard Wrestling Nation accepts federations from all over the world, even more so unknown feds overseas that may not be in the minds of the common GBYWNer. We expect to have English, united kingdom and European champions in the near future.

I know im bringing up a old topic here but whatever...

NAW is still running regular shows, but if you were interested for a supershow you should go to Britfest (which is hosted by NAW) were lots of good UKBYW'ers show up...

And the UKBYW Forum is far from dead, They are just overflowing the forum with media in every category.

I know several UK backayed reds and i LOVE watching AGW. The stuff is really cool. I hope BYW can branch outside of just the U.S. I agree with the idea of havinga REAL Global alliance. We've already started what with you guys in the UK as well as Australia, Canada, Germany, and I think Norway or wherever Flame is from. BYW needs to have guys all over. I'd love to see backyard in South Africa or India or China or Mexico.
