Straight Edge is about you. It's about respecting yourself. People will have their different views...some say it's okay to have sex if you are in a committed relationship, and other say wait until marriage. The important thing to remember is the word COMMITTED. Dating a girl for a week does not mean mean you are committed.

Please remember, straight edge isn't just a flavor of the week. Don't just all the sudden become straight edge because it may seem like the cool thing to do. Being straight edge is about it being right for you. Straight edge is a lifetime commitment.

On the topic of prescription meds, it's fucking stupid to not take them when you needs them. Not taking them would honestly go AGAINST straight edge, because straight edge is all about taking care of your body. If you don't take medicine that you need, then you aren't taking care of it. As long as you aren't abusing your medicine.

Like I said..People that say they're straight edge abide by many different rules and standards for their lives. For example, I met this dude once and I went to shake his hand with my left hand because I had something in my right hand. So I'm standing there for like 10 seconds and he's not doing anything. He goes, "I'm straight edge man. Only enemies shake with their left hand," and refused to shake my hand. Most kids who are drug free are classifying themselves as being straight edge without even knowing what it means.

And the thing about CM Punk refusing to take medicine for a concussion is fucking stupid and shows how stubborn he is. It's basically common sense to take painkillers for an injury. Avoiding the medicine because your straight edge makes me want to punch him in his stupid face.

Regarding prescription medicine, I've heard that a lot of straight edge people just think you shouldn't abuse them. No, I did not just hear that for the first time from CM Punk over the past few Smackdowns! Fine, I have... Though he apparently would prefer no drugs whatsoever (except when extremely necessary), I think how he attacked ABUSING them as opposed to just taking them might mean that other straight edge people think it's alright just to use them responsibly. Then again, Punk probably didn't attack just taking your medicine because that could land the WWE in some hot cum.

I've never thought to myself, "Hey, I want to be straight edge", though I don't do drugs or alcohol, nor am I a slut.

But what's wrong with taking drugs if they're not harmful to your body?
