| We're not going to have our base for a while most likely, so instead of returning to the ground I thought I'd ask about wrestling on the artificial turf a lot of playgrounds have. There's a park nearby that I know has it. Someone told me that the longer the turf's been there the softer it is (from being played on more). The one I'm thinking about has been around for at least six years, so if what that guy said is true, would the turf be too soft by now or not soft enough? |

| Well I doubt it would be too soft. As I never seen play ground turf as bouncy as say a trampoline. But whether it is too hard or not, you will never know until you guys bump and try out a match on it. |

| I hate turf, epecially worn out astro turf. The only thing you'd have to worry about with artificial turf is getting those nasty rubber pellets in your shoes |

Better than wood chips. When we first started working on the ground, we did matches at a park with mulch and I'd find them in my car, on my clothes, and sometimes in my backpack weeks later.
Yeah Marcus, I was hoping SyNN would reply xP
Thank you Jakey. |

| hmm well idk about this particular park w/ the astroturf and all, but like, the playground we wrestle on at 2KW, while stiff, isnt unbearable given the great atmosphere provided by the fans and wrestlers alike
best bet is to indeed try bumping on it and see how it feels...the only thing i would be worried about is not so much the rubber pellets, but bad turf burns if u slide on it, ive played football and shit like that and turf and taken dives, and those burns suck yo |

I think it's a bit different from 2KW's turf. I think the stuff at the park I'm talking about is rough like a lot of school tracks, like there are a lot of those little pebbles put on the surface. 2KW's is smooth, right? Thinking about it, I'm kind of afraid of my pads ripping on the surface of the turf, since it's pretty rough. |

| Yes, park mats differ between each park you go to, and we've wrestled on a few that had tore our clothing and left some pretty nasty scrapes so I wouldn't recommend just any park would do. Get a small group of guys, scout out a few various parks and just try some small things such as bumping and a few body slams to get a feel of which park you may think would work best. The greatest thing about wrestling at a public playground though is the amount of people you can usually pull in as an audience! |
