Psychology, but not the stupid kind everyone always tries to work over as the "only correct way" just proper selling and move placement. Even spotfests can have psychology. Spotfest to me is a sloppy match with random moves, so when people say im a spot monkey i take offensive to it as i am far from.

Anyways, psychology helps but whatever the hell is entertaining works. botchy sloppy matches suck. I dont care what style it is, if it looks good and has a nice pace i'll probably enjoy it.

What makes a match good. It is NOT the moves or the flips, what makes a match good is the story you tell within the match. If a match has no story, then it has no meaning, therefor the match is pointless.

A match with two equally matched wrestlers, of similar weight is my favorite because there is a balanced mix of techincal, high flying, and power moves.

Also, the wrestler need to know what they are doing. If the wrestlers know each others moves and the match flowws very well then, in my humble opinion, is a great match.

In hardcore matches, using weapons in tandem with moves. Like instead of hitting someone with a chair fives times, hit a van daminator, or a side-walk slam onto a chair.
