Here is are Bio.
ASPW is a
backyard wrestling promotion located in South Florida. Instead of being
what people expect a "backyard" promotion to be; we stray away from the
lighttubes, barbed wire, and senseless mayhem that many backyard
wrestling promotions glorify. We all respect those who partake in such
deathmatches and admire their courage; however that is not the product
we wish to produce. The product we aim for is a mixture of modern day
and traditional wrestling with a light hardcore influence.
ASPW started like most backyard promotions do, a couple of teenagers with a dream. However luckily for us we had a goal in mind.
One
of the founding members is currently attempting to open up a wrestling
school for teenagers to learn this sport without having to pay tons of
money to attend a school that is hardly ever open and when it is, only
allows you to go for a few hours a day. The project was generally
accepted by the city of Dania however liability fees have forced it to
slow down. While we attempt to acquire government grants we decided to
start as soon as we could. So after finding a wet and moldy mattress in
the trash, the founding ASPW members gathered a few friends and started
it all.
We have retired the mattress and are now wrestling on
a base. It is constantly being upgraded and the skill of our wrestlers
is constantly getting better. We are also trying to find other
dedicated backyarders or simply wrestling fans who share our dream to
join us. If you are reading these very words than you are witnessing
the start of ASPW and I thank you for giving us the time of day.
We
have set the school aside, as the professional wrestler whom was going
to train us is quite busy. However, we are in the midst of raising
money for a ring and establishing ASPW inside a venue. The future is
bright. |
