someone told me that a ddt needs to be done under the left arm, is that true? if so, are any other moves like that?

Yeah, it needs to be done under the left arm (though I, for one, think it's ok to do either, just make sure your opponent knows which one you do it under). The reasoning is that a lot of dudes are right handed and they tend to protect their face with their right hand. If you do DDTs under your right arm, he can't protect himself with the hand he feels most comfortable with, so you do it under the left.

learn to be ambidextrous it helps in this sitch. its a good trait. i can throw believable rockets with both my left and right and im quite proud of that. many yarders have a hard time punching period no less can do both.

Some people do delayed vertical suplexes on the right side too. I really don't know why. Maybe it's because they're stronger on that side?

idk, Currently: Im right handed and Id rather get DDT'd on the right Side then left, It feels like it goes smoother

or maybe its just the style of DDT

DDT's and most moves are supposed to be done to your opponent's left side. It's so everything is unison, and if everyone go for the correct side, or know what side the people are going for, there are less mess ups.
