| Haiti Kid (little black dood) vs. La Parka (taller masked dood) -Tie-up wasn't too bad, headlock was good but the left leg needs to be back. It's like the two of you shouldn't be facing in the same direction; the dude in the headlock should face one way and then the dude giving the headlock is facing to the first guy's left, almost. -Decent punches, kicks, and whatnot. Better than I do, really. That's why I do forearms a bunch. -Strange arm lock at 0:50 was done on the right arm, it needs to be on the left. Pretty good strikes, though. -Damn, didn't expect to see a wheelbarrow arm drag outta you kids. -Arm wringer into the arm drag at 1:05 was twisted in the wrong way, but I get it because it fed into the arm drag better. -GOOD bump on the headscissors, especially for it being on the ground. -Hiptoss had very little height, but not bad, really. -Some of the selling here is kinda shitty, whether it be too late (shining wizard) or too much for the move (forearms, which caused Haiti Kid to be knocked in the back of the head a couple of times). -Shoot kicks were kinda wussy. You should kick right under the shoulder blades and do it with enough force to make a nice thud, though you should definitely smack your thigh to make the sound and not rely only on the kick. That's a good way to get someone hurt. -Spinning back elbow and reversal superkick at 1:42 was a cool spot, but executed much too slowly. The superkick should have been right after the move, because if you wait to do it, it looks like you're trying to cover up the fact that you botched the move by not bumping (which I'm hoping wasn't the case). -Hiptoss backbreaker was again a little short, but when you do backbreakers, you need to make sure your left knee goes all the way to the ground and that your right knee (the one actually "giving" the backbreaker) is solid and won't move when the dude hits it, otherwise you could easily hurt him or yourself. -DDT was done with the right arm, but though it bugs me, I know lots of guys don't care about it. -It made zero sense for La Parka to be the one to take the DDT and then the next clip is him dragging Haiti Kid to the building. He just took a move and so he should be selling it like he's hurt, not be giving the next move. -Replaying the clip of the headscissors twice has a bit much. C'mon, what is this, RAW? -Haiti Kid, when you pin a guy, actually lay on top of him a bit, spread out a little, and make it look like you're trying to actually keep him down for the three count. Here it looked like you were saying your prayers or something. -You kids are doing some ballsy stuff, stuff I wouldn't have done at your age. -UGH, kick at 3:14 was terrible, not because Haiti Kid did it wrong, but because La Parka was a bitch and turned away instead of actually taking the move. -I liked that sunset flip powerbomb spot, but it was done a little too slow to look realistic. -Wow, Necro Bomb was super-dickish. As a guy who's fucked himself up on the move twice now, I should know how not to do it. The dude giving the move should really help the guy get over and make sure he doesn't land on his head instead of just pulling him up a little and then backing away. -Finish was a little awkward. When doing sit-out moves, you should try to hit the ground at the same time as your opponent, not just so it looks better but also so you don't hurt him (though this reason really only applies in a ring). If you hit the ring before your opponent, the mat will bounce and may knock the dude taking the move in the back of the head on the way down. I've seen it before and it hurts like a bitch, so I'm told.
Decent stuff, kids. I'm really glad you guys are getting into this at a young age so you have time to get good as you start to get freedom to go to shows. I'm also glad a few of you guys went to BXW so you could get your name out. A lot of younger guys will just ask for feedy and stuff but will never go to shows to get better and get their name out. _____________________ | tonyficaccio wrote: | not badass is ao and bushleauge. |
