So yer, which do you prefer flashy colour effects and other things or more simple ways of editing?

I HATE flashy videos. Obnoxious. Make it look clean, not tacky.

Do simple stuff. If you're asking, you're probably not any good at flashy stuff, so don't try and make videos like that. Do simple stuff and work with some flashy stuff in private and try and see what isn't too obnoxious and needless.

Both. If it's simple, it's always more awesome when it's synced to the music. But when it's too flashy, then.. eh. I've been starting to hate flashy shit though. Always try to keep my stuff simple like Don and Ian's stuff, looks way better that way... But my editing fingers have a mind of their own and tend to over do it. I suck.

I like putting effects in and relating it to the song, I don't put flashes in anymore though, I try to put in fading as much as I can, smoother with the video.

Too simple sucks, too flashy sucks. Find a middle ground.

Depends on your camera angle too, editing is necessary with effects and stuff to make the wrestling look good also!
