That's like working at PCWA with 400 people at $15/head and not seeing a dime! |

| For the shitty fed i work we get time before the show to practice and go over our matches since we usually get the card a few weeks before hand. but again its a small town shitty fed so we have plenty of time. and i have yet to get paid for a show even when i traveled to indiana but i like to just wrestle since hardly anyone yards anymore so i like to get in as much wrestling as i can. |

| Thanks guys, you've all been really helpful.
Just to share my own anecdote, one promotion, Primo's Hardcore & Wrestling, actually booked "yarder matches," which normally amounted to multi-man tag matches, battle royals or sometimes they fed them to a vet. However, you had to sell five tickets on your own to even get one of the matches. Has anyone else had to do anything like that? |

| I've not heard of that here, though I bet there is stuff like that. There were a couple of guys in one fed I worked with who were kinda shitty but brought in about a third of our tickets so we kept them around. Sometimes that's how things are. _____________________ | tonyficaccio wrote: | not badass is ao and bushleauge. |

| A lot of the old or fat guys around here on the worse indy feds like to plan the whole match, beat you up the whole time, even though you're going over, then complain that they didn't get paid enough.
I hardly ever get paid, but that's alright. |

They do that in NY all the time. It sucks trying to join the indy circuit in NY because every big fed had extremely big names, so some no name rookie has like no chance of getting a match unless its some shit battle royal or jobber match. Even if you sell 3-5 tickets its still some shitty match. Only way to make it in NY is pay thousands of bucks to stay in a school for 9-12 months and maybe make it on a card. I dont have thousands of dollars to spend so im doing it little by little. Still sucks balls though..FUCK INDY WRESTLING

| Matt, did you talk to Cooter about pricing? He's usually really flexible and willing to make a deal, hell, he's even offered to barter with some people (PC Parts, cars and parts, etc.) in trade for training. He's always willing to make a deal to aspiring students. Sometimes for the price you would pay for a single match on the SWA shows, you can spend that same amount for actual training. Not shit training either. You get to train with Dan Barry, Ken Scampi, Javi Air, Grim Reefer, on top of regular trainers Earl Cooter and Big Jim Sullivan.
Then, it may take a couple months, but you get on the main shows alongside guys like Balls Mahoney, DDP, DX or like on the 27th and 28th of this month Kevin Nash - FOR FREE!

| The only plus I ever see in wrestling on shows with big names is getting to meet them and not have to worry about standing in line. Other than that, it's just another show, unless you are wrestling them. |

| This is my mentality. I ALWAYS put just as much input into the match as I can,no matter who I'm wrestling. You should always be vocal about what you wanna do, because otherwise people will walk all over you. As far as getting payed is concerned, I have a simple rule. I'll work for free in any fed ONE TIME. After that, I will not be back. Regardless of how you guys might feel about that but to me, if I'm paying to drive to your show and I'm putting on a match for YOUR fans and making YOU money, I deserve some sort of compensation. _____________________ "I'm proud of my life and the things that I have done, proud of myself and the loner I've become.
