| I told him he had a lot of non-wrestling related talent and shouldn't waste it. He asked what he should do instead and I said "Yoga." It was sarcasm, meant to be read, "How the fuck should I know?" |

| But "non-wrestling related talent" doesn't really matter if wrestling is what that person wants to do. Plus, as you have already learned, there's plenty of time for other ambitions (like "Yoga") after wrestling is over, or if god forbid, wrestling doesn't pan out. |

Yeah, sure. Even if you make it, it's still only entertainment. Nothing wrong with it, but if you have talent that can make a real difference in the world, it seems empty. That's pretty much exactly what I told him. Why be a Hogan when you could be a Lyndon Johnson? |

Ummm, probably because he'd rather be a Hulk Hogan than a Lyndon B. Johnson? It's still "only" entertainment? You're not at all aware that entertainers are definitely capable of making a difference in the world. You say all that stuff like politicians have such a positive impact on the World....
Speaking off, what stands out to me most is that you're saying Chris should get involved in politics. LOL.
And you compared him to Hulk Hogan..... that's almost an insult. |

| I didn't say politics. In fact, the whole reason we're arguing is because I didn't say he should do any one specific thing. He's a smart kid, he can figure it out. Film, writing, volunteering, design, engineering, etc. etc. etc. It's not my place to say.
And regardless of wrestling ability, Hulk Hogan has had more impact on the real world than any other wrestler in history. I also didn't say entertainers couldn't have an impact. But trying to incorporate a meaning into wrestling matches that the audience will actually understand usually limits it to things like "eat your vegetables."
Also, I don't need to even argue this with you. It's just the advice I gave Chris. He can take it into consideration or not, we all already know your point of view is going to be, and what the point of view will be for everyone else who wants to be a wrestler. Grow up, grow a pair, and drop it. |
