| It's been something that's went on for a while now. Personally, I think it's petty and rediculous that atheist and agnostics want this removed. Christmas has little to do with Jesus and God anymore these days as it is. Why try and change the name of something that has been in tact for a very, very long time? |

| I don't mind a shoppers holiday, I think its great for family's and business's alike but it is kinda rude they trampled over an already existing holiday for it. |

| Society these days is horrible... I will always use the name Christmas and so will my children.
Life revolves around religion. whether people like it or not, God is real. and it's all about good or evil. It' always has been & it always will be.
Most People don't believe because they can't see God, faith is not a viewing process. They can't communicate with him because they don't believe in him.
Without the basic moral foundation of the bible, this country is digging it's own grave. |

| I, for one, couldn't DISagree with Cam more, but that's just me. That being said, I'm so tired of these bullshit issue becoming bigger than they are. It's fucking Christmas. It always has been. Now, normally I'm totally against the whole "it's tradition, and that makes it okay" mentality, but really... What is the harm in keeping the name? I'm one of the most vehemently anti-religious people I know, and the word "Christ" being in the name of a holiday doesn't make me feel the slightest bit different about it. That's great that Christians have/had their own holiday. I don't think Christmas is a religious holiday for most people these days, but nevertheless without the Christian aspect of it, it wouldn't even be a holiday AT ALL. It wouldn't even exist. And really, who wants Christmas to change? Once you change the name, what's next? Saying "happy holidays" is hardly a good compromise, too. If you don't want the word "Christ" to be in your Christmas, then just don't celebrate it at all you fucking hypocrite. There are only so many holiday around that time to celebrate, and it's VERY apparent that there aren't an awful lot of people putting up Kwanza trees, or hanging New Years lights, or even sending out Hanukkah cards to their distant family members. You know why? CAUSE THOSE ARE DIFFERENT FUCKING HOLIDAYS!
So I suppose the point is, I think this is all stupid and further proof that America is a fucking lost cause at this point. |

| So if the Jews want to change the name too, should we do it? Call me crazy, but if you're offended by the word "Christ" you probably shouldn't be celebrating Christmas to begin with. _____________________ |
