If I recall correctly, Jericho said in his latest autobiography that Benoit wasn't acting right after Eddie died and always said there was something strange about Benoit that he just couldn't put his finger on and decided to ignore it. Benoit was apparently in some real deep depression with some of his best friends having passed away almost in succession and Jericho having left the company to do other things. Combine that with stress at home (Daniel had special needs, and special needs kids are hard to take care of. Especially when you're away most of the year.), you being sent down to ECW (Even if he was the champion, ECW at that time was a demotion to vets, not a promotion.), and the possibility of minor brain damage (Perhaps the doctors concluded there was more brain damage than there should have been for someone who died of asphyxiation.), and you've got a lot of motive and evidence. It may not be substantial enough to prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, but it stacks up pretty heavily.
I'm not counting out the possibility that he was innocent all along, I like to keep an open mind, but I highly doubt this is some kind of conspiracy. |

Why would someone leave their house for an "emergency" the night he was going to win the title. What was the emergency? Maybe someone broke in their house, maybe someone killed them and benoit called them to see how they were and there was no answer?
