RVD maybe returing to the E?

The official Twitter feed for the Power Slam wrestling magazine stated Thursday that a TNA wrestler is considering joining WWE.

"Someone told me this week that Rob Van Dam is seriously considering a return to WWE," wrote Findlay Martin, magazine editor.

Van Dam performed for WWE from 2001 to 2007 before joining TNA Wrestling in 2010. Should RVD return to WWE, he would should join a select group of former WWE world champions—Booker T, Kevin Nash and Mick Foley—who joined TNA and ultimately returned to the Stamford based organization. I would take this with a grain of salt.

I'm waiting for the '' no i'm over him'' and '' he's too old ''.
Bottom line is, the roster is green as ing hell and could use some popular vets with some juice left.

Rob vs Punk would be epic imo.

My personal opinion is that RVD is way over the hill. He would be good as someone back stage.

You don't think he would be a good enhancement talent to put over up and comers to the main event scene like Barrett, Ziggler, etc? I'd rather watch RVD on TV than the current William Regal all day.

Regal rules so much over RVD. I keep up with tna and every time I watch an RVD match he just seems all dull. i don't know if he can keep it up with the newer guys. I watched him vs hero vs roderick strong and RVd just kind of stunk up the match. However, this is just my opinion. I wasn't the biggest RVD to begin with though.

I can't stand Regal. He's always been a botchy, sloppy, out of shape worker in my book. Since 2008, it's a miracle Regal hasn't seriously hurt someone. RVD has his botchy moments, but as an E style worker, he does just fine.

He is over the hill. Rob relies too much on his speed/agility and he's not as fast/agile as he used to be. Plus I don't know if you've seen him in TNA but he doesn't really give off the vibe of someone who gives a shit.

PLUS even if Rob wants to go back, who says the E would even want him back?

I've seen Rob have plenty of good matches in TNA. Good matches with Joe, Angle, Daniels, Styles, Lynn etc. He doesn't go all out every match like he used to, but he's definitely not over the hill. I guess haters gonna hate though.

And in regaurds to the E wanting him back - They re-signed Kevin Nash. Nuff said.

Plus, Van Dam has always been mega-over with WWE fans. I'd like to see Angle return as well, but lemme guess, he don't have it no more either, right?

Not in the same way. I'd hate to see him go back to the E, have a big return feud, and then have the same old matches he's been having since 2008 or so.

How can he have the same matches he's been having since 2008 when he'll be in an entirely different company, working entirely different people? Think of all the good feuds and matches Angle can have:

Angle/Punk
Angle/Bryan
Angle/Del Rio
Angle/Morrison
Angle/Christian
Angle/Orton
Angle/Cena
Angle/HHH

And I'm sure there's more. The last few I mentioned have already been done, but it's been so long and so much has changed that it would still make for interesting feuds.

I also don't get all the dis-like for Van Dam on here. He still fucking rules for his age, and I don't know what you guys have been watching. The guy still puts on a great showing in the ring, and still takes rediculous bumps like he always has. This reminds me of when HBK returned in 2002 and IWC was shitting all over him. Man, did he shut those people up.

Besides, have any of you seen the current WWE roster? You mean to tell me that you would rather watch boring, generic workers like Jack Swagger, Mason Ryan, Ezekliel Jackson, Heath Slater, David Otunga, Alex Riley etc than RVD? If so, than GTFO of here right now.

Ok, what about Booker T? Or Christian who many said was getting too old for the E at the end of his TNA run, then the man came back and has put on the best work in his career.

I didn't mean have the same feuds, I meant have the same caliber of matches, namely rather ho-hum ones. I don't recall liking much any of his work since his feud with Joe except for his stuff with Jarrett, partly because I don't watch a lot of TNA, but partly because he truthfully hasn't been all that good recently. I had high hopes for him going into BFG last year, but it all turned out pretty lackluster, especially when it just turned into another feud with Jeff Jarrett immediately afterward.

And as far as RVD goes, I don't think that I don't want him going back because he's too old or anything because he does still put on some pretty good matches. I just think that he wouldn't have the same kind of matches I'd want to see out of him because he isn't the same guy he was five, six years ago. Sure, RVD vs. Ziggler or RVD vs. Bourne would probably rule all sorts of ass, but I'd be wanting to see stuff like Rob's old matches against Eddie and Jeff and whatnot, not the current Rob.

Yeah, that's the kind of RVD matches I'm talking about. He doesn't suck now, but I don't think he has those kind of matches in him anymore.

Well of course he doesn't. HBK didn't have WrestleMania 13 Iron Man's in him after coming back in 2002, but he still put on great matches. I don't watch much TNA myself, but I know from the matches I've seen RVD have with Lynn this year, he definitely still entertains. As for Angle, I loved his match with Roode at BFG.

Was it 12? I got my WM's mixed up. That's right because 13 was Bret/Austin.

Yeah the finish was screwy to Kurt/Roode, but the match itself was quality. Angle vs. Anderson in the cage last year was awesome as well.
