these movies give horror a bad name

I wouldn't considered this horror, though. This is torture-porn, really. Excited to see this one, but I should probably watch the first one first.

I also love how this one is based off the first one being a film.

It looks like it was clearly shot in color and they just threw on black and white in post to be all cool, pretty amateur looking to be honest.

The first one was alright. Not nearly as bad as people made it sound... Plus that guy looks like he could be Christopher Walken's brother or something. I think that movies like this are great for the horror genre because they really show the absolute extreme limits of what people can come up with... The real world is full of really horrible disgusting shit, and I'm sure a "human centipede" is FAR from the worst thing people may have done to one another at some point. So what if there's not a whole lot of story? It's not about the story. It's about the effects. It's about the fear and disgust. It's about pushing the limits of what people are willing to watch. Imagine being in the situation that those three people in the first film were in. That would be the most fucking horrible shit that could ever fucking happen to you. THAT is what makes it scary and what makes it a horror film. It may not have the suspense and character depth of other horror films, but it is still a very fine example of what horror films try to accomplish, imo.

That being said, I'll watch this. I have to agree that it looks pretty amateurish.... but meh. Terror Toons looked/is pretty low quality and shit, but that movie's excellent. Haha.

the french dont make bad horror movies...martyrs, frontiers, high tension, irreversible(which is the only one i cant sit thru), inside........

French horror films are easily the best out there, imo.

Watched the first one and it made me sick on concept alone. Yuck. The girl protagonists were the dumbest bitches ever. Oh, we're lost in bumfuck nowhere, Germany: Let's walk into the woods. Okay, this guy is creepy: Let's accept a drug-laden beverage from him.
