Demon Souls was very well done, Dark Souls I'm not so sure about...
Also NBA 2k12 looks great. Got 2k11 last year and really enjoyed it, but used it to replace Madden - which left me always craving madden. Think I'm gonna skip NBA this year. Though playing as Jordan, Byrd, and Magic is all awesome. |

| just got dead island, had a hell of a time trying to find it. other then that gears 3 and resident evil operation raccoon city is all i'm looking forward or will probably have time to play. |

| Mass Effect 3 isn't coming out until next year Ragz. March 6 to be exact.
Since I write for a game site I feel I need to know a lot of the big releases for award season and to have a solid opinion. So I'll be buying a lot. Already bought Dead Island and wrote a review for it and bought NHL 12 because I'm reviewing that.
But as for what isn't out yet that I'm buying, in order of when they release:

You have to be kidding. Dead Island was good and fun (Great first-person action gameplay and roleplaying elements), but it was not an upper echelon game. The facial animations in cutscenes were doll-like, the story was pretty bad, the main characters had little to no personality, voice work and soundtracks were passable, and I experienced several bad glitches.
The reason why Techland and Deep Silver admitted to their mistakes is because they're a small developer and publisher, so they have to salvage as much positive press for this game, their biggest potential seller in the history of both companies, so they don't fall into obscurity. |

Whats there to kid, i let some mechanical bugs slide because it actually is the most original and all around well done zombie game out there and by the sales figures and other professional reviews, they have too. What they accomplished on a small budget was pretty grand, The developers will be handed a nice budget for a sequel and i bet non of these glitches will be there.
I havent heard of a game selling out of stores like this since GTA4, legit. Game is great, the gameplay is fluent and its really one for true zombie fans and I love it for that because for awhile I thought we'd be stuck with crappy games like Left 4 Dead and new age Resident Evils.

| I'm not saying the game isn't good or fun. What I'm saying is you can't say they are all-around better games than what's going to come from Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Arkham City, and possibly Battlefield 3.
Besides, Dead Island isn't that original. When you boil it down the gameplay is Borderlands but with hand-to-hand weapons instead of just guns.
I also haven't heard of a single store near me that's sold out of the game. Besides, sales don't always equal success if resales are high and opinions are mixed or negative. And great games can be made on a small budget without glitches and technical problems. Catherine, Heavy Rain, and Alan Wake are a few good examples just from the past year-and-a-half. |

| Yeah well it is original because its the only zombie game out there like it. It borrowed lots of elements from games and put it in one and all entertainment is anymore is borrowing ideas. Uncharted 3 will probably be one of the best games EVER made if it lives up to Uncharted 2 but Dead island is one of the best, and the best zombie game to come out in a long long time.
Still all the games you mentioned are sequels, Dead island was original and damn good at that for what it was. I mean look at what its competition is. Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising, Resident Evil and a nazi Zombies mini game. Yeah it was def better than all of those but people are in love with L4D so im sure that will get shot down even though they arent even zombies, they are infected. Same people think 28 days later is a zombie film lololol |
