I'm sure your doctor will be able to tell you better than anyone on here will. That being said, I had a grade 2 MCL tear before and couldn't wrestle comfortably for 2 months or so. But I only rested for 3 weeks as opposed to the recommended 6 cause I'm dumb. So if I would suggest anything it would be to rest for as long as you're told by your doctor, after that you should be good.

Medicne these days is amazing. Iv'e had a torn acl and meniscus in both of my knees. They will basically go in arthroscopic to look, and while they are in go ahead and repair and clean it out as best they can. Are you getting a clicking sound at all too? Or does your knee lock up at all? Mine was preety bad some days I couldn't bend my knee because all of the torn up skin and junk would get caught in the joint. If it's not too badly damaged, Matt is reight rest is best but most tears in that area surgery is your only option. It's outpatient you would go home the same day. Not sure what type of work you do I'm in and office and I was back to work within 2 days.

I tore both my ACL's. You'll never be the same. But be diligent with your rehab after your surgery (which will be around 6 months) and it'll be as good as it can get.
