| Better than the second, which doesn't say much. Some decent elements in the movie, really interesting cameos (Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, the principal from Eastbound, Pirate Steve, etc.) It really felt like a metaphor for America defeating the Taliban/Al-Qaeda. Some really stupid plot elements and scenes, but superficially it was fine. I'm glad that they closed it all off with this movie, although it was a little frustrating it took them 2-1/2 hours to do so. |

| The 1986 Transformers : The movie rules all. Optimus Prime dies 20 minutes in and DOESN'T come back. THAT'S a kids movie with BALLS in a very kiddie era for animated movies. |

| Well, they only killed him (along with most other characters) so they could bring in the new wave of toys and have a good excuse to bring those characters into the series. Optimus does come back, twice even. Once as an evil zombie, and the other as himself.
... Crappy way to learn about death, eh? All of your toys dying in front of you... |

It's too bad that people were too shook by this happening, and it almost single-handedly killed the trend of kids cartoons going to theatres. |

That's why they didn't really kill Duke in G.I. Joe: The Movie. He was retconned to be in a coma. |

| WORST. RETCONN. EVER.
I don't know how anybody can take Serpentor's snake spear through the heart, and only fall into a coma. What bullshit. I find it hilarious how they had to voiceover Doc into one of the last scenes to say that Duke was alright, before people celebrated. |
