It was on March 28th, 1999, the day that EBW was born!

The popularity of Professional wrestling was at an all time high with three huge federations. WWF, WCW/NWO , and ECW filled the tv screens every night of the week. College campuses, bars, and homes all across the nation religously followed along every storyline of the drama that is sports entertainment.

So it started in a small onion farming town in upstate New York. Two young men had a vision.... A love for professional wrestling gave them the want, and need to participate in and create a wrestling show for themselves. What was started simply as a one time gathering a friends in a backyard showcasing a crazy hour of brutal action, kickstarted a phenomenon that carried out throughout the year. Word carried throughout Orange County, New York quickly. Scores of friends, and strangers gathered monthly into a cramped yard to witness the spectacle known only as EXTREME BACKYARD WRESTLING. Many faces were showcased in duels that incorporated steel chairs, barbed wire, thumbtacks, and even FIRE!!!
