Awesome post. Read all of it, as it's one of my personal favorites as well.

To follow up on Dan's biggest disappointment of an album, "Daisy" by Brand New is up there for me. I can't say anything negative about the album as I haven't given it a full chance, but it's just not something I can get into.

I don't know, I really enjoyed daisy. Certainly a different album, but I can get into the darkness of it.

This was great. I really loved "Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis" and "Play Crack the Sky". It's great to listen to some inspired music every once in a while, and this definitely felt like it had some meaning behind it.

Glad you guys enjoyed the Deja Entendu post. Just wanted to try something different and get a little personal for a change. However, we will now return to our regularly scheduled program.

This week's band is an alternative rock band called MUTEMATH. They're pretty awesome and they tend to put out pretty entertaining music videos. Check 'em out. I can't really narrow them down to a specific comparison or description because as you'll see, a lot of their stuff sounds very different. In one song they'll sound like garage rock and in the next they'll sound like The Police haha.

OK, so it's been a few weeks. Honestly, I'm just running out of ideas for bands, hence the random updates. I don't know if this will be every week anymore, but it'll be monthly, AT LEAST. I'm looking to keep up with two bands a month though. We'll see what happens.

Anyway, onto the next band. They're called (or at least they were called) Mae. They were an indie/alternative/emo band. Their stuff is really catchy and uplifting/happy. Their music never fails to put me in a good mood and I was really big into these guys in high school. I saw them live with Inkwell and Spill Canvas if that gives you an idea of what they sound like. Enjoy.

I come on here, excited to see a new Band of the Week Month, and it's a band I already know. I am disappointed. Still like that this is happening every once in a bit, though.

Haha, I apologize Mr. Obama. They're a band that whenever I bring them up, most people don't know them so I figured I'd post them. I never know what bands are popular in certain groups or areas. For example, everyone I know around here knows Brand New, but when I went to school in West Virginia, nobody knew who they were. Music is weird like that.

MUTEMATH is dope stuff.

I saw these guys open for Childish Gambino last night and I just HAD to come here and post them because I highly enjoyed their shit. Check 'em out. They're called Flatbush Zombies. Sooooo catchy.
