Maybe I'm being misunderstood here. If you all just want to be entertaining backyard wrestlers, that's fine. I have no qualms with that, and I enjoy watching that kind of wrestling sometimes.

Here's the problem.

It pisses me off TREMENDOUSLY when people who are really only good in the yard tell me that they're good enough/have 'learned' enough in backyard, that they could be a professional without going to get training. I trained for a year and three/four months. So to me, that's insulting.

So I guess my problem is only with people that believe they could, or should, be a professional with the style they wrestle. Sorry to all who misunderstood. If you still have a problem with what I say after this, I don't give a fuck. I've explained it the best I can.

I understand how insulting it is. I am in the same boat as you pal.

I've been training or whatever for over a year, they don't always throw me in a match, but some guy who use to yard knows someone and boom, they're on the card. It's insulting to anyone who has had to train just to be on a show.

The way they've been doing this shit to me around here for indy makes me stray away from indy wrestling, I prefer byw though. Around here it's all about who you know. You don't need to train, you just need to know a person who is in, and you're automatically a wrestler I guess.

But some of the NE guy do know how to wrestle, they just choose to wrestle with bumps and headspikes. All those guys were shown the proper way (Few years back, some trained dudes who were in byw ran a training thing so that everyone could learn.)

But, being rude and shit to people on how they wrestle is not cool. Let them do their headspikes and shit. I am teh same way, I don't take huge moves, I head spike once in a blue moon for shits. I try to wrestle not take something that will fuck my body up for the rest of my life.

Then in the end when they're walking around with their cane you can just be like, "hm, how you feel?"

True. And also, idk how I could have left this out, but another reason I do it is just for fun. I just like getting under Tornado's skin, among others. So while I do have some serious reasons for my complaining, it's not always serious debating. I exaggerate myself on here a lot. That's why people who have met me like me, and people who know me here hate me.

Anyone who thinks they don't need training to go into wrestling is ignorant.

even if they go to a crappy one (which I just so happen to go to) you need to learn basics things to complete a match. I just try to learn things on my own 'cause the training I receive is not the best, so I watch wrestling, I look at feed back given to people by people who were legit trained.

I'm indifferent towards you. I love you when we casually converse, but I fucking hate you probably about 50% of the time when you post.

Cash, I understand where you're coming from in the first post, and I can understand being insulted in that way. But at the same time, you're also insulting yarders in the same way you're being insulted by putting down people for wanting to wrestle the way they want and enjoy wrestling even if it is just for friends and a few others. Basically, people in this argument seem like they're fighting to try to prove opinions as fact and it's just dumb. Think what you think, like what you like, and wrestle how you wanna wrestle. The fact that you can do that is the thing that makes wrestling so great in the first place.

And Justin, I didn't randomly start attacking people about their wrestling style. This started happening because people were telling me that I sucked but THEY were starbound. Just got annoying, so I did the typical Iowa thing and bitched.

Nah I like you, you're cool. I just think most of your bashing is unjustified and that you don't deserve the right to bash a portion of the people you do.

Yeah, I understand. I wasn't around for that so I didn't personally get to see it. All I'm saying is a long progressive string of 2 wrongs doesn't make a right here. I guess I just don't see a point in arguing over wrestling on a message board and wanted to throw out my 2 cents before leaving this to you guys. Id have to agree with Cash on this one you need to def get trained before working indy shows im in the process of getting retrained and am planning on going to a better wrestling school next year i do yard for fun but personally i dont think im good enough to work indy, not saying i havent worked a few indy shows such as NWA Indiana and NWA Underground and WCWO legit indy feds...but i only work those cause the promoters like me and dont mind booking me for show so why pass up experience there are very few yarders who havent had some sort of training that can work a pro style match.
