| I realize while watching my matches and comparing them to professionals', they seem to move, stand up, and lift up their opponents from the ground with practiced forms, like when standing while in a side headlock. Does anyone have any tips for this subject? This came up when reviewing my recent match. I noticed picking each other up seemed awkward at times and sometimes basic moves looked odd because of how we positioned ourselves or moved around while in that hold, like in a side headlock to use that example again. Here's the link to that match if you want to directly leave tips: http://www.thegbywn.com/full-matches-shows-random-stuff-f9/abw-week-7-adrian-blaqueheart-vs-tricky-stycks-feedback-appreciated-t11597.htm#186396 Thanks in advance. |

| Always pick them up by the head. And use the least amount of movement you can. |

| I didn't watch the video, but like Jake said, square your feet for headlocks.
I completely disagree with Devin about picking someone up only by the head. I usually do one hand on the head and another on the body, because it's completely unrealistic to think that I can pick someone up by strands of hair.
As far as getting up off the mat, make a fist, roll to your elbow, then to forearm and push up. It will look cleaner and prevent your opponent from stepping on your fingers. _____________________ |

| Just watch movements of other people. That is how I learned movements. Try and move as little as possible when chaining, don't be bouncing around. make the chain wrestling look tight, don't look all loose on it. |
