| Hey everybody,i apolgize i havent been able to post on this board lately,or be involved with the BYW scene due to training for MMA fights, but i came on here to share something with everyone. From 2005-2008 i did BYW for a group called Xtreme Jersey Wrestling,it was a memorable experience, and if it wasn't for this backyard wrestling group i wouldnt have met great friends like Shooter,pj matthews, shawn matthews,Double D,2kw etc,and if it wasnt for backyard wrestling,i wouldnt have met my best friends mother, the women who hosted each show in her home, someone who was interviewed for the paper supporting backyard wrestling, and someone who became a second mom to me,and a friend to everyone who came to her home. Peggy Castaldo, one of the sweetest, most honest, caring, loving human beings i have ever met, two weeks ago lost her battle with cancer. All of us,the XJW wrestlers, the friends who came to the shows, yes, even my ex fiancee, all showed up again,as her children,to celebrate her life. When we talked to her son,my best friend Dave Castaldo about XJW to reminse,he always said how fond she was of BYW,and how much fun she had with it all. I guess you could say the subtext is,she enjoyed seeing so many people with her son smile, laugh, and enjoy life together. Here is a tribute video from our reunion, our tribute to our mother, and clips of XJW.
I would like everybody involved in the new generation of backyard wrestling to help pay tribute to her by doing one thing,to always have fun while doing something you love,to have a good time with your friends and continuing being united with your friends and loved ones through something you enjoy doing. Thanks everybody for reading this, and god bless. -Tigger |

| I agree with Tek 100%, I was lucky enough to have a father who enjoyed yarding as much as I did. It's always a sad to see one of the good parents go down. Her, her friends, and her family are all in my thoughts. _____________________ |

| Hey man, I don't know you fellas too well, but I'm extremely sorry about this situation.
At least you guys got good friends to lean during times like these. Just keep your guys heads up, and make Mrs. Costaldo proud, and continue doing what you guys love to do, I'm sure she wouldn't have it any other way! God bless, ya'll are in my prayers. -SpartDaddy |
