| Owen Hart Memorial Tournament 2004 Semi-Finals Rematch: Big Dan Winant vs. Chris Redfield By John Evans
In 2004, Big Dan Winant, a card carrying member of the Natural Born Wrestlers, was embarking upon a period of success that would inevitably lead him to becoming the first ever UWA Undisputed Champion. The first step on that journey was winning the 2004 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament. Big Dan went through Matt Mitchel, Scotty Deletto, and ultimately Brian Brass in the finals. But in the semi finals, his opponent was the California Crippler Chris Redfield.
Redfield was a newcomer to the UWA and had made his way to the semi finals by defeating J-Spyder in the first round, and receiving a bye in the quarter finals due to a time limit draw between Vincent Valentean and Arkum.
Big Dan was ultimately victorious against Redfield. But this all occurred before Redfield's allegiance with the now infamous WAAYNE Enterprises.
Big Dan Winant Hometown: Toronto Canda; now residing in Trenton New Jersey Finishing Maneuver: Breakdown Version 6, Breakdown Version 8 Career Highlights: UWA Heavyweight Champion (3x), UWA Regional Champion (2x), UWA Tag Team Champion (2x), UWA Hardcore Champion, UWA Eur-Asian Champion, SWF Heavyweight Champion, Brawl For All 2003 Winner, Owen Hart Memorial Tournament 2002 Winner, Owen Hart Memorial Tournament 2004 Winner.
Profile: Big Dan Winant came to the UWA from the SWF promotion out of Spotswood NJ. Big Dan is a native of Toronto Canada, but his mailing address would change over the years almost as much as his allegiances. Big Dan has switched sides more than any other wrestler in the history of the UWA, making him the true loose cannon of Sayreville wrestling.
Dan holds the distinction of grand slam champion of the UWA, the only man to win more than one Owen Hart Memorial Tournament, and being the first ever UWA Undisputed Champion.
Dan main evented Armageddon IV against Cypress, a venture in which he would ultimately fail. Later that year, Dan turned his back on his brother Dave Winant and joined the Do Or Die Posse. Dan and Dave participated in the now infamous sledgehammer on a pole match, which goes down in the history books of the UWA as one of the most violent and emotionally driven contests ever.
Dan would begin 2004 as a member of the Do Or Die Posse, but would eventually go onto become the leader of the Natural Born Wrestlers, a stable which shot him to the top of the UWA again, when at Hotter Than Hell 2004, he defeated Dave Winant, Vincent Valentean, and AceJack in one night to become the first ever UWA Undisputed Champion.
Dan would eventually take his younger brother Kyle Winant as his protege, teaching him to excel "as a true Winant should." Dan had memorable title defenses against the likes of Scotty Deletto, Vincent Valentean and Brian Brass before losing the title to Archadia at Last Breath 2004.
In 2005, Dan and Kyle would go the way of many great tag teams and break up, launching into a bitter feud when Kyle turned his back on Dan to join forces with Dave Winant.
Despite it all, Big Dan climbed to the top of the mountain for a third time, defeating UWA Unisputed Champion Vincent Valentean to become the champ again, and carry the belt into Last Breath 2005, where he inevitable dropped it to Cypress in an instant classic.
Chris Redfield Hometown: Wayne, NJ Finishing Maneuver: Reverse Figure Four and heelish tactics Career Highlights: WAAYNE Enterprises representative.
Profile: Chris Redfield is a jerk. Sorry to be so biased folks, but he just defines the word toolbox. But it wasn't always this way. Redfield first came to the UWA as a bright eyed young star, looking to make his mark on the UWA. After signing his multi year contract, he was thrust into the fray, even going to the semi finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament.
Redfield came with baggage though, particularly that of bad blood with old enemy Myke Quest, who sought to end Redfield for good. Together with crooked NBW referee Nick Nova, Quest defeated Redfield at Setting the Standard 2004. Redfield would eventually get his revenge on paper, defeating Quest at Hotter Than Hell 2004. But after the match, Quest delivered a devastating vertabreaker to Redfield, almost causing permanant injury.
After this incident, Redfield attempted to get out of his UWA contract, but UWA owner Vince Regal did not allow it. So, Redfield returned in 2005, with a mission to ruin UWA for everyone. Redfield joined forces with WAAYNE Enterprises (White America Against Your Neighborhood Entertainment). Together, WAAYNE and Redfield attempted to disrupt every UWA show. The would run lawnmowers and play hispanic music with the sole purpose of ruining the UWA.
Understandably, several UWA faithful took exception to Redfield's antics. Most notably Arkum. However, Arkum paid for his involvement with Redfield, when the big jerkwad single handedly ruined Arkum's wedding to Tara Valifax. Arkum would gain revenge by defeating Redfield in an I Quit Match, but Redfield would then find out that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Valifax launched an all out blitzkrieg on Redfield at the end of 2005, attacking the WAAYNE Enterprises employee at every corner he turned. Valifax would eventuall defeat Redfield at Last Breath 2005. Redfield is still affiliated with WAAYNE Enterprises and is sure to be up to his old tricks at Crossroads: Destiny Fulfilled.

| Kamikaze Rematch: The Outlaw Dave Winant vs. AceJack By John Evans
God meets the anti-hero at Crossroads: Destiny Fulfilled when Dave Winant takes on his former nemesis AceJack. these two launched into a bitter feud to end the 2003 UWA season, which saw AceJack use every dirty tactic in the book to eliminate The Outlaw. Then, in 2004, The Outlaw bested AceJack at Brawl For All 2004 in the UWA's first ever Kamikaze match to become the UWA Heavyweight Champion. That match is one of the more brutal encounters in the history of the UWA, as it featured butcher knives, nails, hammers, and thumb tacks.
This match saw The Outlaw gouged in the arm with a knife, body parts nailed to the ring, and AceJack receiving an uppercut while he had thumb tacks in his mouth.
This match is sure two be hard hitting and violent. This is the only first round match to feature two former UWA Heavyweight Champions and is sure to be one of the more exciting bouts on the card. AceJack and Outlaw are no strangers to one another, but when they met, the UWA was dealing with a much different Dave Winant. Now that he is fully immersed in his god complex, there's no telling what may happen.
"The Outlaw" Dave Winant Hometown: Port Stanley Ontario Canada Finishing Maneuver: Breakdown Version 1, Breakdown Version 2, Breakdown Version 3, Breakdown Version 4 (version death), Breakdown Version 5, Breakdown Version 7 Career Highlights: UWA Heavyweight Champion, UWA Tag Team Champion, UWA Eur-Asian Champion, SWF Heavyweight Champion, USW Heavyweight Champion, EWF Regional Champion, 2005 Brawl For All Winner, 2003 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Runner Up.
Profile: Dave Winant is a sick man with a rather large complex to work through. However, he is pound for pound one of the best wrestlers to ever step into the UWA ring. Winant came to the UWA from the SWF promotion, having wrestled also in the EWF and USW. Winant formed the successful tag team "The Winant Brothers" with his brother Big Dan Winant. However, it wasn't until 2003 when Winant really started making UWA headlines.
Winant turned on Big Dan to join the Do Or Die Posse. Once there he discovered the existence of UWA Eur Asian Champion Scotty Deletto, and a whole new can of worms was opened. Outlaw feuded endlessly with Scotty, going so far as to believe that other wrestlers and inanimate objects were Scotty himself. Known for his trademark cry of "Come on Scotty!" Outlaw took Scotty's Eur Asian title and crippled the Texan wrestler with a sledgehammer.
Scotty came back eventually, and the two seemed to trade sledgehammer shots every week. When they finally met at Hotter Than Hell 2003, Scotty was victorious, grievously injuring The Outlaw in the process. The next week on Meltdown, Big Dan Winant assaulted and crippled his injured brother, and took Dave's place in the DDP. After nursing his wounds, Outlaw returned with revenge on his mind. He launched into a brutal feud with Big Dan, which culminated in the first and only sledgehammer on a pole match. After this match, Outlaw vowed to never use the hammer again.
With that huge win, Outlaw moved onto the UWA Heavyweight title scene, challenging then champion AceJack to a series of matches which ultimately saw Outlaw crowned champion in 2004.
Outlaw redefined the term fighting champion, defending the title every week without fail against opponents like Sean Damage McNelis, Big Dan, Myke Quest, Jay Blackhart, and Brian Brass, whom he ultimately lost the championship to at Setting the Standard 04 in a Three Stages of Hell Match.
Outlaw would then change the face of the UWA when he brought his beloved sledgehammer back, striking Vincent Valentean and AceJack at Hotter Than Hell 2004 to aid Big Dan in becoming the Undispited Champion. Outlaw stated that he could do whatever he wanted with the hammers power, professing before Valentean that he was indeed a god himself.
Valentean chose to test this, facing off with the Outlaw both as himself and his alter ego Angellus. Outlaw defeated both with the sledgehammer's help, forcing Valentean and Angellus to unite. This new Vincent Valentean defeated the Outlaw in a casket match at UWA Aggression 2004, sealing Outlaw in a casket for over a week.
When Outlaw reemerged from the casket he was a changed man. He tore through the competition with a newfound bloodlust, realized only in the darkest corners of insanity. He tormented Arkum and Tara Valifax on a weekly basis, until Arkum managed to seal Outlaw back in the Casket at Last Breath 2004. This however, only seemed to make Dave stronger.
Outlaw returned in 2005 and ran roughshod over every member of the UWA roster, winning the 2005 Brawl For All and challenging then champion Archadia at Armageddon 6, which he dubbed 666. Dave was ultimately defeated and went onto have memorable feuds with Joey Hedges, Big Dan, and Kyle Winant. He earned some sense of closure by sealing Valentean in the casket at Aggression 2005, but the "god" is still out for blood.
Acejack Hometown: Staten Island, NY Finishing Maneuver: Double Arm DDT, Emo Kid KIller Career Highlights: UWA Heavyweight Champion (2x), UWA Tag Team Champion (2x), UWA Hardcore Champion (3x), EWF Tag Team Champion, EWF Hardcore Champion (3x), USW Tri-State Champion, USW Hardcore Champion
Profile: AceJack has been a member of the UWA since its inception. The former EWF and USW star was a shoe in for the UWA when the company began in 2001. AceJack was known throughout early UWA as a true hardcore superstar, having legendary matches with JT Highlander, which earned him a match of the year award.
In 2003, however, AceJack proved that he was a major player. AceJack delved deep into the sadistic and darker side of his personality and formed his vision of a homicidal becoming known as the Ultra Violent Movement. With his new sadistic ways he waged war against Archadia, Arkum, Angellus, Dr. John Bowes and many others, eventually ending the 10 month long UWA championship reign of Cypress and becoming the UWA Heavyweight Champion.
AceJack defended his championship against opponents like Matt Mitchel, Vince Regal, Vincent Valentean, Scotty Deletto, and even his former UVM "droogie" Tek. AceJack's biggest eountain to climb as champion came in the form of The Outlaw Davm Winant, whom AceJack defeated at Last Breath 2003. After starting off 2004 as a member of the new Do Or Die Posse, AceJack lost his coveted championship to The Outlaw and went onto have memorable feuds with Vincent Valentean, Tek, and Dr. John Bowes, becoming the last ever UWA hardcore champion and re|iring the belt.
Eventually tle inherit evil of the Natural Born Wrestlers was too much for AceJack, and he launhed into a feud with NBW member Jay Blackhart, going so far as to threaten the entire NBW with a Molotov cocktail. AceJack was one of the finalists in the 6 man challenge to become the first ever UWA Undispute Champion and was defeated bu Big Dan Winant. After this, AceJack retired from the ring until the call of challenge came again in the form of UWA WarGames.
After this, AceJack was back, going onto to face opponents like Chris Mavrick, and Dr. John Bowes, both of which scored major upsets against AceJack. 2005 was a emotional ride for AceJack though, as Vincent Valentean turned his own younger brother Danny Baker against him, inducting the young referee into the ranks of the Disciples of Darkness. While AceJack was ultimately unsuccessful against Valentean and the DOD, the feud did bring back the ultra violent fire in him, which he used to defeat Eddie Idol at Last Breath 2005, and also reunite at that event with Danny Baker.
