Last year in May, I posted about the "Denver Debacle", which was when RAW was booked for the Denver Pepsi Center some day in March, but then the Denver Nuggets ended up doing better than they have in years and so got far enough into the... playoffs, or whatever, so that they had a game the day RAW was scheduled. Because of that, WWE took RAW and Smackdown/ECW (the latter being what I had tickets for in Colorado Springs) to the Staple Center, and replaced our shows with house shows in August. Now I think Vince is punishing us for that. I just checked the WWE's live event schedule and they're only coming for a "Road to Wrestlemania" house show next month in Denver. I'm sure it will be good (the house show I saw last year was), but I also really want to see the full set up for a WWE televised show. The year before last, WWE hadn't come to Colorado in over five years. Now the Nuggets fucked us over. Lame.

I think I remember hearing part of Vince's response to them cancelling their booking, went something like "The Denver Nuggets management didn't even have enough confidence that their own team would make the playoffs."

Personally if I owned a multi-billion dollar company and that shit happened I would say "fuck you" too...Vince had a good point.

I can't really disagree with him -- it wouldn't surprise me if he was frustrated by neither show selling out, too, so he gave us just one hoping people from both Colorado Springs and Denver would go to it. I still hate those damn Nuggets.
